Parents and Citizens' Association

Parents and Citizens' Association (P&C)

The Shelley Public School P&C Association is a not-for-profit organisation which is established to promote the interests of the school by bringing parents, citizens and teaching staff together to assist in providing equipment and funding to the school to help maximise our children’s’ education.

Membership of the P&C is open to all parents, guardians and citizens of the school. Shelley's P&C meets on the first Monday of each month at 7pm in Room 2 and we are always keen to welcome new members.

There are several ways which you are able to be involved in the P&C. This can include raising money to purchase equipment, providing a service such as helping with the covering of books, volunteering your tie to help in the Uniform Shop or Canteen (both P&C owned and operated), supporting fundraisers such as purchasing raffle tickets, attending P&C meetings and becoming a financial member.

Becoming a financial member of the P&C is only $2 per year and allows you voting rights in the meetings and copies of all general meeting minutes. If you wish you may also stand to be a member of the Executive Committee. All executive positions are currently advertised in the school newsletter. You do not have to be available at the school every day to be a member, in fact many of our members work, some full time, some part time, but being a part of the P&C is very rewarding as we primarily do what we do for our children.

If you are interested in becoming a member of Shelley P&C please complete the membership form and bring it with you to the next meeting. If you are unable to attend the meeting but wish to become a member and receive copies of the minutes please submit this form and payment to the school canteen.
